Automation & Controls Technician located in Brownsville TX The
ideal candidate will have experience building, installing, and
commissioning new automation assets, panel builds, and
electromechanical controls systems. My client is open to
out-of-state candidates. As an Automation & Controls Technician you
will:Create, redline, modify, and correct electrical and pneumatic
schematics for automated equipment using EPLAN Electrical/Fluid and
Visio software suitesWire, commission, and validate
electromechanical and pneumatic control systemsBuild control panels
to NFPA 79 & UL 508A standardsDesign and commission basic PLC and
HMI software applicationsTroubleshoot and modify PLC and HMI
softwareSpec and procure required components, sensors, and hardware
needed for implementing controls solutionsPromote 5S principles of
organizing and sustaining efficient and presentable team work
spacesRead, understand and utilize system-level schematics
(mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic)Support Production
Devices (HMIs, VMs, Thin Clients, IIoT devices) This is a full time
role. Ideal candidate will have:High school diploma or equivalency
certificate3+ years of automation experience in a manufacturing and
production environment3+ years of experience with working with
mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
systemsDemonstrated hands-on skill in fault finding, mechanical
system troubleshooting, and solid problem resolution skillsHighly
motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player, yet able
to work independently when necessaryNice to have:Strong, working
knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70E (Standard
for Electrical Safety), NFPA 79 & UL508A codesPLC & HMI programming
experience or familiarization using Ladder Logic and Structured
Text LanguageMechanical equipment design/build experienceExperience
with electrical control panel design, building, and
wiringElectrical schematic drawing/updates Pay rate is $35-$45/hr.
