-Construction Materials Quality ManagerAre you passionate about the construction materials mining industry? Are you looking for an opportunity where you can make a difference? Terra Firma Materials, a leading supplier of construction materials (caliche, sand, aggregates, asphalt) has an opportunity for a self-motivated Construction Materials Quality Manager to work in our open pit mines in South Texas. We are a growing company focused on safety, quality, and efficiency!The Quality Manager will:

• Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times to keep employees safe as safety is our first priority.
• Have overall responsibility for the materials quality testing lab (equipment and lab technician(s)).
• -Plan and Schedule daily production to ensure efficient operation of quality lab resources (personnel and equipment) to maximize plant efficiency.
• Provide strong leadership, training, and supervision to all employees. Partner with HR for plant staffing/recruiting and all employee related functions. -Monitor and report product quality daily to ensure materials standards are met and/or exceeded. -Assists in planning/forecasting operating budgets and materials inventory with a focus on meeting/exceeding plant goals.Skills Needed to be successful:
  • 3 years minimum supervising employees in a sand/gravel, aggregate, asphalt quality testing operations.
  • -Competent in construction materials testing with an emphasis on TXDOT standards.
  • -Experience formulating asphalt mix designs that meet required standards.
  • Strong leader with the ability to guide, train and motivate employees to be successful in their jobs.
  • Strong command of the various mining/processing methods used, to include mining equipment, quality control and MSHA regulations.
  • -Must enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather and be comfortable in an open pit mining environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and motivate and retain a great team.
  • Desire to live and work in Rio Grande Valley in South Texas.What we offer:
