Job Title Travel-RN-ED City/State: Brownsville, Texas Shift: Nights, 19:00-07:00 Contract Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: 01/19/2026 Job Description: As a Travel RN in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a 22-bed unit, working within a team to manage a 4:1 patient ratio. Responsibilities: IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, wound care Moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion Assisting with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response Care of stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients Transport preparation and coordination for higher levels of care Triage assessment and prioritization based on ESI guidelines Isolation and infection control protocols Documentation and reassessment in fast-paced environments Requirements: Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred) Strong triage and critical thinking skills Trauma and cardiac alert experience, including care of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Advocating for patients from diverse backgrounds and with different healthcare needs refines your patient advocacy skills, making you a more effective advocate in various healthcare settings.
